*Unfortunately, both the EW-550 and its sister model with Lithium batteries, the EW-650, have been discontinued. The short story is that we recently learned that the distributor can no longer get these from the factory. The longer story is that company which owned and operated the factory where these mopeds were made was purchased by a very large state-owned company in China. As a result, the original company's export license became invalid. So, they can produce these domestically for the very large Chinese market but they can't export them. And it appears that they are not going to obtain another export license for these mopeds, at least not any time soon.
